About Thetford Registry Office
The King's House is a large Grade II listed building in Thetford. It is a former royal residence of King James, in the ancient borough of Thetford, in the heart of the Brecks, an area of outstanding interest and beauty, offering both ancient and modern historical sites to visit.
The register office is situated on the ground floor of this delightfully restored building.
The ceremony room can comfortably accommodate 42 guests, plus the happy couple! The colour scheme is dusky pink and dark blue with reproduction furniture in a style to complement both the room and the building. We provide music and fresh flowers for all our ceremonies.
There is easy access and facilities for disabled people are provided. The large gardens have a mixture of lawns, formal and herbaceous borders and a rose garden, and these are open for photographs.
Parking is provided at the front of King's House, also in free car parks close to the office.
