About Cley Windmill, North Norfolk

Cley Windmill dates from the early 18th Century and is a well-known landmark on the north Norfolk coast. It commands breath-taking views over the salt marshes to Blakeney Point and the sea, while nestling comfortably by the old quay, and alongside the flint-walled cottages of the village.

Ceremonies take place in our beautiful round Dining Room for which we hold the wedding licence. We aim to gear the entire day around exactly what you want – some people prefer a small and informal affair, others like something slightly larger and more formal.

Please note that our licence only allows us to have 22 people including the bride and groom in the ceremony room.

The windmill itself has been converted into a guesthouse of immense character, charm and comfort. The old stables and boathouses are now stylish bedrooms with Dovecote a self-catering retreat for independent holidaymakers.

We welcome both B&B and Self Catering guests. The windmill is also available for private house parties and weddings, should you wish to entertain your guests in a unique and magical setting.
